Resize an image online

To resize an image online, drop it in the box, type a new width or height in pixels (or choose percent, centimetres or inches), and download it. The shape stays the same unless you unlock it. It all happens in your browser, so the picture is never uploaded.

How it works

  1. Drop your picture into the box above, or paste it with Ctrl+V.
  2. Choose how to set the size and type the new numbers. The other side follows so the picture is not stretched.
  3. Check the result, then download it.

Three ways to set the size

  • Pixels: type the exact width and height a site or form asks for.
  • Percent: shrink or enlarge by an amount, like 50%.
  • Print size: type centimetres, millimetres or inches and pick the DPI; the tool works out the pixels.

Resize without losing quality

  • Make pictures smaller, not bigger: shrinking keeps detail, enlarging cannot add it.
  • Keep the shape locked so faces are not stretched.
  • Start from the original, not a copy that was already compressed.
  • Save photos as JPG or WebP at about 90% quality, and logos as PNG.

Need an exact file size too?

Forms often ask for pixels and KB together. The exam and size pages do both in one step: resize to 50 KB, resize to 20 KB, or pick your exam for the exact size.
