How to scan or photograph a signature for online forms
Sign in running letters with a black or dark blue pen on plain white paper, photograph it flat in daylight, crop tight around the signature, then resize it to the form's limits, which are often 10 to 20 KB. Keep the background white.

How it works
- Sign on plain white paper with a black or dark blue pen. Use running letters, not capitals, unless the form says otherwise.
- Place the paper flat near a window. Take the photo from straight above so the page isn't skewed.
- Open the photo in Resize Baba and crop tight around the signature.
- Pick your exam's signature preset, or set 10 to 20 KB, and press Resize.
- Download the JPG and upload it.
Tips
- Avoid shadows by not holding the phone over the paper.
- Make the ink dark so it survives compression.
- If the paper looks grey, the background remover can make it a clean white.
Questions people ask
What size should a signature image be?

No. Forms ask for an image of a handwritten signature.
Is it safe to use an online tool for my photo or ID?
With Resize Baba, yes: the work happens inside your browser, so the picture or PDF is never uploaded or stored on a server.
